A simple question
In 1984, outside a village high in the mountains above Nagano Japan, Sakurada-san established a small laboratory that became Shinshu Ceramics. With no more than a dozen employees, this facility sought to answer a simple question: “How can we save lives and improve health and wellbeing while minimizing environmental impact?”
Focus on PCO
The laboratory believed the answer laid in PCO – short for Photo-Catalytic Oxidation – which uses the power of Titanium Oxide (TiO2) to decompose organic contaminants. It is proven to work on bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold, algae as well as odors, smoke and Volatile Organic Compounds. PCO is a natural ingredient and will not harm humans nor the environment.
PCO attacks and destroys a cell’s walls contrary to chemicals which act on a cell’s DNA structure. Germs mutate and, over time, form strains that can resist chemicals. With PCO, no resistance is possible. It is effective on all present and future germs – and will neither harm humans nor the environment

Formulating an answer
For all its positive attributes, PCO suffers significant shortcomings. It requires sun or UV light to react. It is also very potent and reacts with any substrate it is coated on.
After 11 years of experimentation, Sakurada-san and his team developed a formulation that solved PCO’s inherent weaknesses. They then spent 8 years testing the product inside hospitals and other healthcare facilities to ensure the product’s viability in demanding environments. The result is T-Zap, a proven, effective and safe compound that saves lives and enhances health and wellbeing.
Spreading the word
Marketed under the name brand “earth +” in Japan, T-Zap is now poised to become a household name around the world. When this is achieved, Sakurada-san and his team’s vision of a better, healthier world will finally becoming reality.
A multitude of products are offered to decontaminate air, water and textile. The list of applications is extensive and growing by the day as exciting product innovations are making their way into the market.
